Privacy Policy
This website (plansandpassports.com) is operated by (hereinafter: the “Operator”), who places great importance on respecting and enforcing the data protection rights of natural persons (hereinafter: “Data Subjects”).
In processing, recording, handling, and where applicable transferring personal data, the Operator acts at all times in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws in force.

1. Nature of the Website and the Activity Concerned
The purpose of the website is to publish travel content (city guides, packing tips, recommended products). The website does not operate any registration, user account, purchasing, or payment process, and as a general rule does not directly request personal data from visitors.
Visitors typically arrive at the website from external platforms (e.g. Pinterest), read the blog content, and then click on product recommendation links, which take them to an external website (Amazon.com or its local equivalent), where the actual purchase takes place. The website operator does not have access to any payment or personal data of the Data Subject during the purchase — this data is handled exclusively by Amazon, in accordance with its own privacy policy.
The website has no contact form, newsletter sign-up, or commenting feature, so no personal data is collected through these channels.
2. Data Processed While Browsing the Website (Technical Data, Cookies)
While using the website, certain data may be recorded in the Data Subject’s browser; further information on this is provided in the Cookie Notice section of this document.
Technical data generated while browsing the website (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit, the page from which the Data Subject arrived at the website) is used by the Operator and the hosting provider exclusively for the secure operation of the server and for statistical purposes. The Operator does not link this data to any other information that would allow the Data Subject to be personally identified.
Traffic statistics (analytics): We use Google Analytics to measure website traffic. This service uses cookies and similar technologies to collect anonymized, aggregated data about visitors (e.g. number of visitors, most popular pages, approximate geographic location, the page from which the visitor arrived). This processing is based on legitimate interest (developing the operation and content of the website).
Google Analytics is operated by Google Ireland Limited. Further information about the data processed under this service is available in Google’s own privacy policy.
3. Amazon Associates Affiliate Program — Disclosure and Data Processing Aspects
Affiliate disclosure: “Plans and Passports is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. As an Amazon Associate, I earn a commission from qualifying purchases.”
Data processing aspects:
- By clicking on an affiliate link, the Data Subject leaves the website and is redirected to Amazon.com (or its local equivalent).
- For the purpose of processing purchases and calculating commissions, Amazon places its own cookies in the Data Subject’s browser, to which the Operator has no access and over which the Operator has no control.
- Amazon’s own privacy policy applies to data processing on Amazon’s website, which is available on Amazon’s own website.
- Through the Amazon Associates system, the Operator has access only to aggregated, anonymous statistical data (e.g. how many clicks or purchases occurred through its links), and not to the personal data of individual users.
4. Data Processors and Third Parties
The Operator uses the following data processors/third parties:
- BC.HU Kft. — hosting provider, for the technical operation of the website.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) — for the purpose of producing traffic statistics.
- Amazon Associates Program (Amazon.com, Inc. and its affiliates) — for the operation of affiliate links and commission accounting; Amazon acts as an independent data controller in the course of this activity.
The Operator reserves the right to engage additional data processors, of which it will provide individual notice no later than the commencement of such processing.
5. Rights of Data Subjects
The Data Subject has the right to obtain information from the Operator as to whether the processing of their personal data is underway, and if so, what data is recorded, for what purpose, and to whom it has been disclosed. The Data Subject has the right to have their processed data corrected, deleted, or restricted, and to object to the processing.
Such requests may be submitted to the Operator in writing (by email or post) using the contact details provided above.
The Operator has a maximum of 30 days to provide information about personal data or to carry out its deletion, restriction, or correction. If the Operator does not fulfil the Data Subject’s request for correction, restriction, or deletion, it will communicate the reasons for refusal in writing within 30 days.
6. Data Security
The Operator makes every effort to ensure the security of the personal data processed and takes the technical and organizational measures necessary for this purpose. Only the Operator has access to the Data Subject data in its possession.
7. Legal Remedies
In the event of a violation of rights concerning the processing of personal data, or the direct threat thereof, the Data Subject may initiate an investigation with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH):
National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság)

Postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf.: 9., Hungary
Website: www.naih.hu
Email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu
Phone: +36 (1) 391-1400
If the Data Subject believes that the Operator is processing their personal data unlawfully, they may, at their choice, turn to the court having jurisdiction over the Operator’s registered seat, or the court having jurisdiction over their own place of residence or stay, for legal remedy.
8. Amendments to this Policy
The Operator reserves the right to amend the provisions of this Privacy Policy from time to time.

This website uses so-called cookies. A cookie is a small data file stored on the Data Subject’s hard drive through their web browser. We use cookies that are technically necessary, without which the website would not function properly.
